MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 316

Building Battlefields

April 2006·pp. 88–91

THE SHORT VERSION

The workshop compares inexpensive and more permanent ways to create a gaming surface at home. Blankets and grass mats offer fast setup, polystyrene tiles allow lightweight modular scenery, and wooden boards provide a durable flat foundation. Storage, transport and susceptibility to damage are weighed alongside appearance. Matching flock and static grass across the board and its terrain gives even straightforward construction a coherent finished result.
