Owen Rees introduces the plastic Giant as a monster whose interchangeable parts suit four different armies and whose mercenary rules bring it to still more forces. He also highlights the expanding Tau range, the Tallarn desert feature and the approaching Medusa V campaign. His own Empire and Drop Troop projects connect these announcements to the month’s collecting opportunities. The editorial presents new miniatures alongside the games and settings in which readers can use them.

The mercenary Giant is available as a Rare choice to six listed armies and combines Terror, stubborn resolve and unpredictable attacks. Separate tables distinguish its treatment of large opponents from its assaults on smaller victims. Falling can damage either side, and even the Giant’s own death may influence combat around it. The complete rules explain recovery from the ground, picking up enemies and the consequences of its improvised attacks.
