Smallhammer: Skaven, Tomb Kings and Goblins

January 2006·pp. 54–55

THE SHORT VERSION

Alessio Cavatore returns to classic Skaven, combining a Warlock Engineer’s machinery with infantry and support creatures. Kyoko Okuda uses a Tomb Prince to strengthen a Skeleton combat unit while a Liche Priest and archers extend its options. Guy Haley’s Goblins exploit inexpensive troops to fit mounted warriors, a chariot, magic and a larger infantry block into a tiny force. Together the lists show that small games can retain distinct army identities and multiple battlefield roles.
