PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 313

Skaven Armour

January 2006·p. 61

THE SHORT VERSION

Boltgun Metal is washed with Dark Green Ink, giving armour plates a dull, contaminated cast. Light metallic drybrushing returns definition to the edges before a final Chainmail pass. The illustrated Stormvermin show how a strongly tinted wash can make the same basic silver paints look aged and unhealthy.
