Magic Metal: Inking and Non-Metallic Effects

January 2006·p. 63

THE SHORT VERSION

A metallic magical blade builds from Boltgun Metal through Chainmail, then takes a Purple Ink wash and ink-tinted silver edges. The alternative uses no metallic paint: Regal Blue and Enchanted Blue form the blade, Blue Ink deepens it and dilute Ice Blue traces stylized lightning. The contrasting methods provide either a coloured reflective weapon or an overtly supernatural surface marked by luminous lines.
