Into the Valley

THE SHORT VERSION

Nick Kyme fields Thorgrim Grudgebearer and a heavily armed Dwarf throng against Phil Kelly’s Greasus-led Ogre army in a roughly 3,000-point battle. Ogres, a Hunter and Gorgers threaten the artillery from multiple directions, but the Anvil delivers Thorgrim into a crucial countercharge. Stubborn infantry survive repeated flank attacks while the High King batters Greasus through several regenerative recoveries. The Dwarfs win 2,441 to 1,077, with both players crediting resilient warriors and Thorgrim more than the unreliable guns.
