PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 313

High Elf Steel

January 2006·p. 61

THE SHORT VERSION

Chainmail receives a Blue Ink wash to give the armour a cold, clean character. Restoring Chainmail to raised areas preserves that blue in the shadows, and fine Mithril Silver edges supply the brightest reflections. The method uses coloured shading to distinguish Elven steel from the darker or dirtier metals elsewhere in the workshop.
