Washes and Eight Armour Colour Tests
November 2005·pp. 87–88
THE SHORT VERSION
Wood compares how water, PVA, washing-up liquid and Ardcoat alter a wash’s colour and gathering behaviour. Eight test models vary black or white undercoat and several green or brown shades over Shining Gold. His preferred mixture uses two parts Catachan Green, one Ardcoat and three water, producing subdued green-gold rather than an excessively bright or brown finish. The experiment then becomes a single unifying wash for cloth, armour and base alike.
