PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 311

Painting a High Elf Warrior

November 2005·p. 89

THE SHORT VERSION

Gold armour, pale flesh, brown equipment and grey-blue robes are applied as thin base layers over white. A Catachan Green and Ardcoat wash covers the entire miniature, including feathers and sand, supplying common shadows in one pass. Bone drybrushing and a brown rim finish the base. Small differences in how the wash dries add natural variation without losing the batch-painted unit’s coherence.
