THE SHORT VERSION
Boromir and Gimli attack one reinforcing trapdoor while Gandalf and the remaining companions contest the other. Aragorn never arrives, and three Hobbits die, but the stronger fighters gradually close the entrances and clear the Goblins. Andy wins before Sean can claim another victim. The aftermath identifies a useful trap for the defender: keeping Goblins on a trapdoor stops it closing but also prevents new reinforcements emerging there.
