RULES·WHITE DWARF 310

Events and Encounters for Old World Forests

October 2005·pp. 110–111

THE SHORT VERSION

Rain can hinder black-powder weapons, mist shortens shooting ranges and local knowledge changes deployment. Ambushes delay a unit’s arrival, while mutant lairs, Beastman traps and burial cairns threaten troops moving through the woods. Beasts of Chaos reroll selected hostile results, giving native dangers a factional context. A neutral encounter result can remove an existing hazard, letting players sometimes spend resources to make a route safer.
