LORE·WHITE DWARF 310

Gnoblar Culture

October 2005·pp. 96–103

THE SHORT VERSION

Jim Archer examines the uneasy symbiosis between Ogres and the servants living on their scraps. Ear and nose size, personal protection and the prestige of a master shape a society of scavengers, bullies and dependent followers. Specialist groups imitate Leadbelchers, Ironguts, Butchers, Hunters and Maneaters, while trade and cruel sports occupy the shanty towns. The account repeatedly shows apparent advancement ending in paranoia, exploitation or an abrupt violent reversal.
