LORE·WHITE DWARF 310

Gnoblar Bowl

October 2005·p. 100

THE SHORT VERSION

Feast-day spectators throw shiny goods into an arena, where volunteers fight to carry prizes back to its edge. Betting, threats and chants transform an Ogre childhood game into an organized attraction shared with Gnoblars. Physical interference is officially poor conduct, partly because it disrupts other Ogres’ wagers, although food and extra Gnoblars are routinely thrown in. Its popularity reveals the same mixture of dependency and violence seen elsewhere in camp life.
