Their gangs live through hunting, bullying and battlefield scavenging, looking down on servants while depending on their masters’ protection. Too many self-appointed leaders produce endless disputes, and courage disappears at the first setback. The accompanying tale of Gogruk’s appetite shows how easily an aspiring personal servant becomes another meal instead.
