MODELLING·WHITE DWARF 310

Weapon and Head Swaps

October 2005·p. 43

THE SHORT VERSION

Replacing a whole hand gives a weapon swap a stronger contact area than joining a thin blade. For heads, Murray saws away the original, files both mating surfaces flat and checks the fit before gluing and filling. Exposing a captain’s face can distinguish him from helmeted troops, while a different weapon can directly express the equipment or history chosen for the character.
