Brother Zapherion’s Escape

THE SHORT VERSION

Brother Zapherion senses fresh Tyranid waves closing around the survivors after the battle. He understands that the swarm is regrouping around its leader-beasts and that further resistance cannot recover Kluctmier’s canister in time. A delayed teleport request reaches the strike cruiser just as Genestealers charge; the Deathwatch disappear in blue light, leaving the recovery of the biological weapon for another fight.
