Rust Washes

June 2005·p. 141

THE SHORT VERSION

A building panel starts with Tin Bitz and a Boltgun Metal drybrush to establish reflective metal. Diluted Vermin Brown is then worked into the surface, followed by a more restrained Blazing Orange wash, producing matte rust against the metallic base. The method suits larger architectural surfaces, and nearby examples show corroded corrugated iron on a Guard emplacement and blistered corrosion on a Chaos warp gate.
