Painting Corsairs
June 2005·p. 112
THE SHORT VERSION
A six-stage recipe gives Corsairs drab green cloaks, brown clothing and leather, warm flesh and weathered steel. The cloak starts with a mixed black, green and bone drybrush, while the skin progresses from Dark Flesh through Tanned, Dwarf and Elf Flesh before a thin wash. Brown and Black Inks shade the metal before Mithril Silver picks out edges. The printed palette omits several colours named in the steps, all of which are included in the archive’s paint index.
