PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 306

Combining Effects

June 2005·p. 140

THE SHORT VERSION

A Chaos Warrior demonstrates a brighter rust finish made by combining mottled colour and chipped metal. Vermin Brown covers the armour before a Chaos Black glaze supplies depth; stippled Blazing Orange and Fiery Orange build vivid corrosion. Chainmail then marks the edges where use would expose the original surface. The sequence adapts the earlier Ogre technique while increasing colour contrast across larger armour plates.
