Battle at the Coastal Encampment

THE SHORT VERSION

Stephen Green’s Tomb Kings meet Paul Scott’s Empire at a coastal encampment in a 1,500-point pitched battle. Paul’s two wizards initially suppress undead magic and his knights cut through skeletons, but a decisive counterattack brings Tomb Swarms, a Scorpion and chariots into vulnerable targets. Both wizards die, the mortar is destroyed and the chariots eventually sweep away the infantry. Stephen wins but notes that the territory itself provides no plunder and Asger’s daemon army remains a looming threat.
