PAINTING·WHITE DWARF 303

Painting the Model

March 2005·p. 95

THE SHORT VERSION

Textured masonry paint creates a suitable drybrushing surface before the rocks and earth receive distinct grey and brown treatments. Dark flesh-coloured patches suggest dried blood, stippled brown and orange rust the blades, and leather-to-pale-flesh drybrushing weathers the stakes; mixed flock completes the transition to the surrounding tabletop.
