THE SHORT VERSION

Dominic Murray uses small, repeatable highlights to distinguish Shire personalities without making their rustic clothes excessively bright. Fatty’s tailored jacket, Bandobras’s horse, Maggot’s weathered work clothes, Lobelia’s apron and Paladin’s worn coat demonstrate related techniques across cloth, skin, hair and wood, with separate colour progressions for all three of Maggot’s dogs.
