Preparing for Battle: Hides, Mahûd and Finishing Touches
November 2004·p. 113
THE SHORT VERSION
Paul develops animal-hide markings through irregular dark shapes and drybrushed blending, then gives the Mahûd chieftain a small palette of flesh, muted cloth and gold. Simple white facial markings become the focal detail, and a textured base, highlighted arrow flights and model-boat rigging complete the large display model.
