Preparing for Battle: Howdah and Tusk Weapons

November 2004·p. 112

THE SHORT VERSION

Leaving the howdah unassembled allows Paul to reach its wicker floor, supports and side panels before the final construction. Different brown mixtures distinguish wood, ropes and weapon spikes, while an earthy red warpaint mix and black symbols introduce Haradrim identity without disrupting the model’s naturalistic setting.
