RULES·WHITE DWARF 284

The Second Hall

August 2003·p. 127

THE SHORT VERSION

After Balin’s death, a Dwarven rearguard is cut off by Goblins in a chamber divided by a deep chasm. The scenario separates the Dwarf force and gives the attackers freedom to surround it, making the narrow bridge and scattered rubble central to the rescue attempt. Goblins traverse the terrain with confidence, while a defeated Dwarf on the bridge risks falling. A small points-match alternative preserves the encounter’s emphasis on position and survival.
