THE SHORT VERSION

Matt paints Lysander in separate body, cape, shield and base assemblies to preserve access while working to a high finish. The base begins in Mechanicus Standard Grey and gains earthier variation through several drybrushed colours, preventing a flat monochrome result. A sequence from Word Bearers Red through progressively brighter reds builds the cloak, giving the finished character a strong warm accent against his Imperial Fists armour.

Armageddon: A Planet at War

The Warriors of Armageddon

Armageddon’s Steel Legion favour mechanised infantry, with Chimeras and protective clothing suited to a poisoned industrial world. Invasion has reversed the normal outward flow of regiments, as the planet increasingly consumes both its own recruits and soldiers sent from elsewhere.
