A reader asks whether the Salamanders worship the Emperor as a god or follow the more usual Space Marine pattern of ancestor reverence. Grombrindal explains their Promethean tradition through Vulkan’s teachings, self-reliance, sacrifice and symbolic fire rituals, while distinguishing their Emperor-veneration from the Black Templars’ explicitly divine worship. Nocturne’s creatures and the mythic Outlander also form part of the Chapter’s religious identity.
