Painting the Ruins
April 2026·p. 93
THE SHORT VERSION
Andrew begins the ruins with black primer and a grey spray, then shades them with a thinned dark-brown-and-black mixture. Relayering and progressively lighter drybrushing restore the stone texture before burgundy and green glazes introduce natural variation. A final pale drybrush ties the surface together, while the skulls and earth are matched to his existing bases without supplying an additional named recipe for those details.
