Grounding Your Scenery
April 2026·p. 94
THE SHORT VERSION
A step-by-step construction guide places a terrain piece on a shaped XPVC base with bevelled edges, then blends it into the ground with modelling putty. Foraged slate and twigs supply convincing natural detail, and plastic skulls provide a setting-specific accent. After priming and painting to match the rest of the collection, layers of flock, foliage and tufts create the appearance of long-established, overgrown ruins.
