THE SHORT VERSION

Bone stockpiles beneath the city feed the laboratories where Mortisans build their legions. Hidden constructs guard the approaches and some workshops contain soul traps and grave-sand devices, but the deepest wards remain unbroken. A defensive mist strips the expedition’s soul-priest to bare bones, foreshadowing the disappearance of the surviving investigators.

Huron Blackheart — The Blood Reaver

Huron survives the Badab War through immense reconstructive surgery and builds a new power base amid the Maelstrom’s shifting dangers.
