Cult of the Eternal Comet

March 2026·p. 86

THE SHORT VERSION

Pontifex Zenestra leads a downtrodden religious mob accompanied by cleaner-looking aspirants to the Order of Azyr. Cawdor and Flagellant parts, torches and candles strengthen the fanatic character, while yellow, black, bronze and leather provide a consistent palette across the conversions.

Paint Splatter: Corsair Skyreavers

Amber demonstrates two complete Corsair schemes: the deep blue-green Eldritch Raiders and the red-and-black Void Dragons. Smooth glazes, precise edges, crystal weapons and polished gemstones suit the clean Aeldari aesthetic. The accompanying explanations show why complementary shadows can work better than black and how a consistent light source makes gems convincing.

Eldritch Raiders: Bodysuit

A deep blue-green base gains blue recess glazes and progressively lighter turquoise highlights. Thin repeated applications make the transitions smooth before precise edge marks sharpen the close-fitting suit.

Eldritch Raiders: Blue Armour

Near-black blue armour is shaded with black, then raised with cool green-blue glazing. Bright but restrained edges distinguish the rigid plates from the softer bodysuit without losing the Corsair’s dark overall appearance.
