The Jade Abbey begins as a holy stronghold protecting a healing spring associated with Alarielle. Its priesthood’s control of that resource fosters privilege and resentment, giving Gelgus Pust an opening for betrayal; the surviving wards preserve the Everspring even as the surrounding monastery becomes a haunted and contaminated ruin.
