THE SHORT VERSION

Rich limits his Cadian infantry to a near-monochrome palette to practise differentiating surfaces through texture and highlighting. Grey armour and fatigues use related colours with separate tonal ranges, while inked eyes and a heretical sign turn the small group into an unsettling narrative scene. The two accompanying recipes make the restricted palette reproducible without supplying extra colours for the unexplained horror details.
