INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 518

Legions of Fire

November 2025·pp. 90–103

THE SHORT VERSION

The miniatures designers explain how the Helsmiths of Hashut translate classic Chaos Dwarf imagery into a new duardin culture. Ringleted beards, tall helms, tusks and bull icons remain, but geometric armour, weighted clothing and meticulous decoration communicate oppressive order, wealth and contempt. Hobgrots provide a deliberately ragged contrast to their carefully equipped masters.

The tour covers commanders, priests, infantry, Bull Centaurs, artillery, Dominator Engines and the Infernal Taurus. Each design ties weaponry and ornament to daemon-binding industry, while kit options and close-up details show how the models support different builds. The Taurus receives particular attention as an animated idol whose sculpted stone or metal flexes like a living creature.
