Worlds of Warhammer: Imperial Battlezones

October 2025·pp. 8–11

THE SHORT VERSION

Colin explores how familiar terrain kits can suggest the history and purpose of an Imperial battlefield. Fronteris bunkers, landing pads and auspex shrines imply isolated communities, fragile supply links and sometimes older secrets, while manufactorum buildings and cargo connect a small gaming table to a much larger industrial network.

Mechanicus structures can represent Knight repair sites, technological excavation or a shrine whose ownership has changed. The column encourages using these interpretations as narrative hooks, so a few pieces of scenery establish why armies have arrived and what they stand to gain by controlling the area.
