The Defence of Inwit
October 2025·pp. 64–69
THE SHORT VERSION
Mark presents an underground research station on Inwit breached by Traitor attackers. Zone Mortalis and Ruined Underhive pieces form the core, while pipes, terminals, reactors, rubble and even snow entering through the breach turn the board into a believable slice of a much larger installation.
His approach keeps scenery as an immersive backdrop rather than the visual centre of the battle. Industrial grey tones, yellow doors and marked floors establish clear structure, with weathering adding use and age; masking tape helps create straight floor lines and hazard stripes. The article includes a complete painting recipe for these main materials.
