Painting Harlequins
July 2025·p. 88
THE SHORT VERSION
Tom builds translucent pale holo-suits over a grey undercoat and black wash, using medium throughout the highlights so the white develops depth. The same palette is drybrushed on vehicles before smoothing glazes, creating a quiet field for red-and-white cherry blossoms and brown branches. Wraith constructs instead retain muted blue-green colour and finish in Pallid Wych Flesh, suggesting age and bleaching without the intensity of pure white.
