Roman Lappat explains his framed relief-like dioramas, inspired by classical art, church memorials and boxed miniature scenes. He builds a rear box inside a chosen frame and treats the whole composition as a single painting, using forced perspective, controlled lighting and models at different scales. Seven examples explore Cadia, the Underhive, Space Marines, Stormcasts and Nurgle, each choosing environmental colour to establish emotion as well as depth.

Graham paints Warriors of Rohan and Hill Tribesmen with muted earthy tones, applying base colours and shared washes in batches to save time. Separate finishing stages distinguish cloth, leather, flesh and metal, while optional swaps between grey and brown make the tribesmen look less uniform. The feature also covers matching Edoras bases and the yellow-to-red-to-charred surfaces of flaming brands.

A Chaos Black undercoat supports green cloth, brown leather, pale beard and warm metallic details on the Rohirrim. Brown shade deliberately mutes the cloth rather than intensifying its green, and successive highlights define the varied materials. Graham recommends completing the skin late to avoid difficult corrections, and supplies a sand-and-rock basing recipe shared across The Battle of Edoras models.
