Studio Monsters and Machines: Sentinels
May 2025·p. 122
THE SHORT VERSION
Michael layers weathering onto Zandri Dust Sentinels using sponge work and controlled brush marks. A lighter bone-and-sand mix creates the first damage, black deepens scratches and metallic paint defines exposed material. Building the chips in several colours gives the walkers the depth of long service rather than a flat scattering of dark spots.
