Notes on the Plague God
May 2025·pp. 8–15
THE SHORT VERSION
Presented as collected Imperial and Grey Knights documents, this dossier explains how suffering and despair feed Nurgle and turn relief from pain into devotion to decay. Accounts of Nurglings, Plaguebearers, Ku’gath and Rotigus lead into the Death Guard’s supernatural resilience, Mortarion’s corruption and the walking pox that transforms civilians into new vectors of infection.
Further notes distinguish Nurgle’s Rot, Gellerpox and the diseases of individual Plague Companies, then examine the tri-lobe symbol and the growth of plague cults. The Cult of the Seven Fingered, Children of the Sump and Withering Stem show corruption spreading through official institutions, hive waste and ascetic promises rather than only through open armies.
