Copper Oxide, Verdigris and Even More Verdigris
May 2025·p. 43
THE SHORT VERSION
The copper tutorials separate brown tarnishing from pale green verdigris rather than treating all corrosion as orange rust. Thinned Wyldwood gives copper a dark oxidised film, Nihilakh Oxide supplies the milky overall patina, and blue-green washes intensify local deposits. Each effect exploits the contrast between cool corrosion and the warm metal beneath.
