INTERVIEW·WHITE DWARF 511

Rise of the Phoenician

April 2025·pp. 32–37

THE SHORT VERSION

Miniature designer David and ’Eavy Metal painter Anja describe Fulgrim as an aquatic, almost mermaid-like horror rather than a conventional scaled snake. His coiled body, spreading wings and four arms frame the face, while traces of power armour connect the daemon to his former identity. Pristine Imperial gifts, raw scarification and five alternative heads make the contradictions visible, and Anja’s shifting blue-green and purple glazes contrast with opulent gold.
