Echoes from the Warp: Codex Aeldari

April 2025·pp. 94–97

THE SHORT VERSION

Duncan and David explain the new Codex’s shift from dominant Fate dice to Battle Focus tokens and movement options across several phases. Reworked Aspect Warriors have clearer specialisations: Banshees threaten elite infantry, Scorpions combine volume with board control and Shining Spears hunt vehicles and monsters. Phoenix Lords change their units’ tactical possibilities rather than simply increasing damage.

Eight detachments support different craftworld identities, including Guardian defenders, seers, wraith constructs, Ynnari and Harlequins. Fate dice survive in a changed Seer Council role, Ynnari combine revised Asuryani and Drukhari units, and flexible Troupe stances help a limited roster remain adaptable. Crusade rules focus on changing threats and opportunities around the craftworld.
