The Avatar of Khaine
April 2025·pp. 92–93
THE SHORT VERSION
Jes recalls the Avatar as a deliberately disturbing last resort, animated by the sacrifice of a Young King. Neil combines earlier molten and armoured designs while retaining the tall helmet, hair and dripping hand that make the character immediately recognisable. Sword, spear and axe versions of the Wailing Doom accompany different heads, allowing the living shard of Khaine to reflect different craftworld temperaments.
