Painting the Cult’s Vehicles

THE SHORT VERSION

James repeats the infantry’s worn industrial character on vehicles with shaded silver, weathered turquoise panels and yellow hazard stripes. Brown recess washes accumulate around details to imply dirt, while stippled metal looks scratched rather than neatly outlined. Blood staining and selectively bright edges give the machinery the appearance of hard use during an uprising.
