Stage by Stage: Your Inner Glow
October 2024·pp. 25–26
THE SHORT VERSION
A black-primed ruin is progressively drybrushed with grey before its recessed symbol is painted opaque white. Metalwork is finished first so later white highlights and translucent green glazes can cast light onto the surrounding stone and fittings. The guide also shows how wet blending a turquoise wash over bronze produces a heavy patina with softened edges.
