THE SHORT VERSION

Six further bases expand the method into deserts, lava, snow, ice, swamps and exposed green energy. Bright colour beneath black crackle becomes a molten or supernatural fissure, while gloss strengthens the impression of ice and pooled liquid. Layered textures and restrained highlights create recognisable environments from paint alone, providing alternatives to a standard earth-coloured army base.
