Painting the Kharadron of Barak Glom
May 2024·pp. 30–31
THE SHORT VERSION
Successive bronze and silver drybrushes imitate brass polished on its raised surfaces but dark with steam and coal dust in its recesses. A sepia wash adds an oily warmth before a final light silver pass. Dan paints sky-vessels in subassemblies to reach their endrins easily, then contrasts the metal with black cloth, dark armour and cold violet-grey bases.
