Painting the Athonian Tank Corps
May 2024·p. 29
THE SHORT VERSION
Four increasingly light colours give Dan’s tank armour a battered appearance without waiting for washes to dry across large panels. Broad drybrushes establish the main finish in approximately ten minutes, after which the tracks and smaller details can be treated separately. Letting later areas cover stray paint makes the technique efficient rather than requiring careful avoidance of every rivet and fitting.
