Stilled Faith, Part III: Vanguard

THE SHORT VERSION

The Black Consuls ambush the cultists escorting Kaseena Flamberg to their Patriarch, but a Lictor attack turns the rescue into a three-sided slaughter. The Kelermorph’s belief in deliverance ends when the Star Children kill her, and Kaseena survives only through a final psychic effort. Afterwards Inquisitor Drakkstein admits the investigation has answered almost nothing, while Captain Gelvin prepares to destroy the cult rather than leave Iridis unresolved.
